Summer Advancement Academy

The Minority Health Coalition of Madison County (MHCMC) has released information for their Summer Advancement Academy! This fun and free educational program is open to all students in grades K-8 at Anderson Community Schools from June 17-28, 2024.
  • Breakfast and lunch is provided
  • 4 hours of small group instruction each day
  • Targeted reading support to prepare students for IREAD-3 testing
  • Students choose daily enrichment activities that include: dance, karate, art, sports, and more
  • A free field trip on July 1st or July 2nd
Schedule
  • Students will attend 8:30 am - 3:30 pm Monday - Friday from June 17-28, 2024.
  • Students in grades K-5 will go on a filed trip on Monday, July 1, 2024.
  • Students in grades 6-8 will go on a field trip on Tuesday, July 2, 2024.
 
Buildings
  • Erskine Elementary School - Students that attend Eastside, Erskine, Tenth Street, and Valley Grove will attend the Erskine Elementary School site.
  • Edgewood Elementary School - Students that attend Anderson Elementary School and Edgewood Elementary School will attend the Edgewood Elementary School site.
  • Highland Middle School - Students that attend Anderson Intermediate School and Highland Middle School will attend the Highland Middle School site.
