ACSC partners with the Madison County Health Department to offer mobile COVID-19 vaccination clinics

ANDERSON - The Anderson Community School Corporation (ACSC) announced today that it is partnering with the Madison County Health Department (MCHD) to offer two mobile COVID-19 vaccination clinics. The clinics, which are open to all ACSC students and their families, will be offered on July 1st and July 22nd at Anderson Intermediate School and Anderson High School.

“We are pleased to partner with the Madison County Health Department to provide opportunities for students and their families to receive the COVID-19 vaccine,” said Dr. Joe Cronk, Superintendent of ACSC. “I encourage anyone that has not yet been vaccinated to take advantage of this opportunity.”

Locations

The Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine will be available to students 12 years of age and older. Individuals choosing the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine will be given their first dose on July 1st and return on July 22nd for their second dose. The Johnson & Johnson vaccine will be available to anyone 18 years of age and older. Individuals wishing to receive the Johnson & Johnson vaccine may do so on either July 1st or July 22nd at either location.

No appointment or pre-registration is required. Students under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult and have parent/guardian consent. If a parent/guardian is not present then a signed note indicating consent for the COVID-19 vaccine is required.

The MCHD wants to remind parents and guardians to continue taking their children to regular well visits and check-ups with their healthcare provider. This also includes making sure they are up to date on their other immunizations, including those that may have been missed during the COVID-19 pandemic.
